That’s right, Jeremy went to his first ever USA power-lifting competition on Saturday Oct 29. He had prepared for over a year to be here. He accomplished his goals to lift a combined weight of over 1100 pounds (he did 1105) and to beat at least one person in his division (he beat two people!). It was really inspiring to see him work diligently day after day, week after week to come here, despite breaking three ribs in April and having all kinds of back injuries. I’m so proud of this guy!!
The competition was in Wisconsin, about 2 hours from our house. We drove up Saturday morning, the competition was all day Saturday, spent the night at the hotel that was hosting the competition. Went to church and the science museum on Sunday. Our friends Riley, Kristen and Kristen’s son came with us. Riley was Jeremy’s coach and helped him prep for each lift. Jeremy could not have done any of this without Riley’s help.
Kristen helped keep me and my boys company. I’m so glad she came! The trip was a lot more fun with her there.
The pictures will tell the rest! It was a really fun weekend!!!
Playing with cars, waiting for daddy to lift again.
Our little buddy.
Lots of waiting.
So, so proud of this man!!
