Hormel Trip to Mexico

Jeremy and I went to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico for 6 days in January!!
It was all paid for by Hormel because Jeremy exceeded the goals for his brand. We were so excited to have this opportunity!! Cabo is the place where we Honeymooned! So it was really neat to come back 10.5 years later. (Tanner and Dallin stayed in Austin Mn with family friends half of the week and a newlywed couple in our house the second half of the week. They had almost as much fun as we did).
Our hotel view was beautiful. The resort was inspired by Egyptian styles. Most of our meals were eaten at the resort, and it was all delicious. We ate, relaxed, ate, made new friends while eating, walked on the beach, ate, rested, wrote in our journals, ate while doing projects and reading books, and ate some more.
We went on a few excursions. We enjoyed massages at the spa. Jeremy went golfing on a super fancy golf course with co-workers. We both went Zip-lining! I’ve done a couple courses before, and this one was awesome.

My favorite part was the swing that takes you right over a little canyon. This was super scary and fun. The tour guide said I won the “screamer of the year” award, haha.
This picture cracks me up. Jeremy looks so relaxed, like as if he’s on a playground, not like he just jumped off a 50 foot cliff!
The last stretch of the zip-line course was a line called Super Man. They laid us in a one-person sling and pushed us on a cable that soared over the canyon for exactly one mile, making you feel like Super Man! It was really, really, really fun to be all alone soaring through the air! Then we ate the most delicious, authentic quesadillas I’ve ever had. An added bonus was that on the excursion, we made some great friends that live in our neighborhood back home in Austin!
The boat tour was really beautiful and fun. We paddle boarded, snorkeled, and ate delicious Mexican food. We saw two snorkeling spots from our honeymoon, as well as the resort that ripped us off with a time share presentation on our honeymoon. From our boat we could also see the condo that we stayed at on our honeymoon, fun memories! But honestly, the best part of the boat tour was all the humpback whales that we saw!
There she blows! We followed a mama whale and her baby for over 30 minutes. We saw several groups of whales throughout the day. To me, it never gets old to see whales in the wild. Wow.
Jeremy’s beard has gotten so long. I love it, especially the orange!
He thinks it was too long at this point. So he trimmed it when our trip was over. What a cutie!
Avocado pizza. Very yummy.
The breakfast buffet was incredible. Everything you could possibly imagine for breakfast was available. The eggs Benedict and the Hispanic breakfast food was my favorite. The custard and bread pudding bar was really yummy, too!
Last day on the beach! I wrote a short play while chilling on the sand.
Thanks, Jeremy, for working your butt off so we could go on this all-expenses-paid vacation together! I love you!
