A few days after we got back from Rome, our Grandpa Davidson came to visit us with his new wife, Grandma Sharon! (Yes, this was before Halloween, so I am posting this out of order). They stayed for two nights and three days and we had a really fun time with them!
I took them out to eat at Tendermaid during one of my lunch breaks. I got to chat a lot with Sharon, and found some neat things that we have in common.
The boys enjoyed playing candyland with their great grandparents. It was fun seeing them all so excited about the cards they drew on each of their turns.
Giggling and joking before bed time.
The grandparents taught us how to play Five Crowns. They are pretty competative with it! It was really special for Jeremy and I to see Grandpa and Sharon so happy together. We enjoyed hearing their stories and realizing how newly-wed they are. It was a special blessing for us to be able to spend time with them like this and to see Grandpa enjoying his next step in life.
We showed them how to play with kinetic sand, and that was a big hit!
We taught Sharon how to play Jenga. She really liked it.
It was a quick visit, but we sure enjoyed their company and didn’t realize how much we needed them in our life at that time until after they got here. Thank you so much for coming to visit us! We love you Grandma and Grandpa!!
