These pictures are from the first half of October.
Tanner’s eyes have always had colors besides brown in them, but not as vivid as now! He’s got a kaleidoscope of color in there!
Dallin drew me a beautiful picture on his new whiteboard of me fishing. I suppose because I go fishing all the time? hee hee.
These boys might be too cool for school.
Saturday morning Legos instead of Saturday morning cartoons!
Crazy egg face!
Dallin got all his stuffed animals ready to watch General Conference with us. This was the day that the prophet Russel M Nelson made the big announcement about church changing from 3 hours to 2 hours each Sunday. To say that this was a very exciting thing for Jeremy and I and the boys is a huge understatement. Jeremy had been talking a lot lately about church being more efficient with our time and finding ways to have more time at home with family and serving others. Now all those concerns are being answered!
In between sessions of conference, we went to Farmer Johns’ pumpkin patch.
Tanner had a bit of a panic attack about which pumpkins we choose and don’t choose, so Jeremy took a break with him for awhile. Meanwhile, I got some adorable video of Dallin working hard to get these pumpkins into the wagon.
We had a nice wagon walk back to the barn.
Dallin found this stuffed vulture in the top of the barn and asked Jeremy to take a picture with him and the vulture. He insisted that Jeremy be in the picture, even though Jeremy wasn’t with us when we found it. Funny kid.
We got a family shot on the big haystack with the sign in the background. This was our 6th autumn season coming to this pumpkin patch! (Our first time was when Dallin was 5 months old). I like both of these shots, couldn’t pick just one.
Jackie came to say hello to me!!! I was so glad she did!!
Jeremy sold the winter tires from our old car.
This is our view everytime we drive into town. I love this road during all seasons.
Now the legos are in the family room! The mess is annoying, but we love that the boys are not watching TV.
The boys did a great job carving!
Designing the jack-o-lantern faces was serious business.
This is so cute, I just love it. They aren’t even making any recognizable music, it’s just adorable that they are trying.
That tree to the right is our climbing tree. It gets so pretty during autumn time.
I hosted another Kids Music in Motion event at the Hormel Historic Home. This time, our guest was an Irish musician.
Tanner trying the mandolin.
Jeremy trying the Irish Bodhran drum.
A project just for Jeremy and Tanner.
Our first snow came early!
Dallin got ahold of Jeremy’s phone and went around the house taking pictures of things, including Tanner and me playing chess. This also happened to be my birthday, age 35! For my birthday service, I spent all week updating our family 72 hour kits, which hadn’t been touched for several years. I made a lot of progress on it!! (But now I just remembered that I have more to do on it yet).
Dallin also took pictures of random things around the house that he thought was interesting, some of which happen to be a perfect snapshot of our lives. Dallin’s pictures make up the rest of this post!
